Is BuildBid free to use?
Posting projects and submitting quotes is always free. We never take a commission on awarded projects. Suppliers can optionally apply for a Verified badge which improves trust and win rate.
How does sealed bidding work?
When a supplier submits a quote, they cannot see any other supplier's price. Only you — the contractor — see all quotes side-by-side once the bidding window closes. So you always get a supplier's real best offer.
How are suppliers verified?
We check DTI/SEC registration, validate a Philippine business address, and review references before awarding the Verified badge. The badge appears on all quotes and profiles so contractors can bid with confidence.
What types of projects can I post?
Any construction materials or supply need — rebar, concrete, plywood, roofing sheets, electrical supplies, finishing materials, and more. Residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects all welcome.
How quickly will I get quotes?
Most projects in Metro Manila receive a first quote within 2–4 hours. For standard materials, contractors typically receive 3 or more quotes on the same business day they post.
What happens after I award a supplier?
You get a shared deal tracker — delivery milestones, built-in messaging, and a completion confirmation flow. Once both sides confirm, you leave a rating so the next contractor benefits too.
